Due to international demand, the organizing committee of the “Sea Lice Conference 2025” has announced an extension of the abstract submission deadline until August 31 for the world’s leading conference on research and management of Caligus rogercresseyi and Lepeophtheirus salmonis.
The event will take place from November 30 to December 4 in Puerto Varas, Chile, one of the world’s top salmon-producing regions. It will cover key topics such as parasite biology, epidemiology, genetics, control strategies, animal welfare, and regulatory frameworks. These themes will be explored through keynote lectures, scientific sessions, and open debates aimed at deepening knowledge, strengthening international collaboration, and contributing to the sustainability of the global aquaculture sector.
The international conference is organized by the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (INCAR), the Institute of Aquaculture and Environment at the Austral University of Chile, Puerto Montt Campus, and the Salmon Technological Institute (Intesal). It will be held at the Hotel Enjoy in Puerto Varas, and is sponsored by MSD Animal Health, Sudvet Corp, Aquabyte, Mowi Chile, and Aqua Pharma Group. Media partners include Salmonexpert, Mundo Acuícola, Panorama Acuícola, and Aquaculture Magazine.
